Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accountant with a minimum of 5 years of experience to join our dynamic team in Ghana. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in managing financial processes, ensuring data accuracy, and contributing to cost control initiatives. This position requires strong analytical skills, a commitment to integrity, and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments to support business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Entry: Accurately enter financial transactions and data into accounting systems. Ensure data consistency, completeness, and compliance with company policies and local regulations.
  • Reconciliation: Conduct regular reconciliations of bank accounts, vendor statements, and other financial records. Identify and resolve discrepancies, maintaining a high level of accuracy and efficiency.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Provide insightful analysis and recommendations to senior management for decision-making purposes.
  • Cost Control: Monitor and analyze spending patterns, identifying areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvement. Develop and implement cost-saving initiatives and collaborate with relevant departments to control and manage expenses.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (professional certifications such as ACCA or CPA are a plus).
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Strong proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Knowledge of Ghanaian tax laws and regulations is highly desirable.
  • Hospitality/F&B experience
