Job Overview:
The Finance Manager will be responsible for the financial health of the company by developing and implementing financial strategies, as well as analyzing and interpreting financial data to support decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement financial strategies to support the organization’s long-term goals
- Oversee the preparation of financial reports, including monthly and annual statements, and interpret financial data to support decision making
- Manage relationships with financial partners, including banks, investors, and external auditing firms
- Lead the budgeting process, including the development of long-term financial plans and the management of day-to-day financial operations
- Work with Cost Control team to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and reporting requirements
- Advise on investment activities and provide strategies that the company should take
- Maintain the company’s financial health
- Analyze costs, pricing, variable contributions, sales results and the company’s actual performance compared to the business plans.
- Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities
- Oversee operations of the finance department, set goals and objectives, and design a framework for these to be met
- Manage the preparation of the company’s budget
- Liase with auditors to ensure appropriate monitoring of company finances is maintained
- Make estimates of funds required for the short and long-term financial objectives of the organization
- Complete financial reports, lead the month-end closing process and conduct monthly financial forecast
- Achieve a proper mix of equity and debt to minimize cost and maximize operational profit
- Manage and monitor metrics, KPI tracking, and reports
- Evaluate the financial performance of the organization and measure returns on investments
- Understand and calculate the risks involved in the financial activities of the organization
- Prepare monthly and quarterly management reporting
- Participate in strategic data analysis, research, and modeling for senior company leadership
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- BS in Accounting, Finance or Economics
- CPA or CMA is a major plus
- Experience – 5-10 years of relevant experience
- Fluent in English and Arabic.
- French is a plus.
- Negotiation skills and the ability to develop strong working relationships
- Extensive understanding of financial trends both within the company and general market patterns
- Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
- Able to manage, guide and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used
- A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles
- Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations
- Ability to synthesize large quantities of complex data into actionable information
- Excellent business & commercial judgment, analytical, and decision-making skills.
